Donkey Kong Country 3.

Am I missing something? There doesn't seem to be any background story in the beginning. It just throws you in without any context.

Then again, I don't remember DKC2 had any either. ??? At least the first one had the banana hoard missing.

SNES Drunk did a really good review of the three DK games I thought.  For me there are some parallels with the (original) Star Wars films.  They both nailed it on the second entry in the series ;)

Ooh! I'll take a look at that once I beat this game. By the way, made it to Poisonous Pipeline... yeah, I'm not having any of that.

P

I recently beat DKC2 for the first time (although I still have lost world and lots of secrets to find). I think it's thematically a bit more boring than DKC1 and 3 because it's almost only dark levels, but it's definitively more challenging than DKC1 (which maybe is a bit on the easy side).

Yeah, and everyone's a pirate! I just finished DKC3 and now I'm going to 100% it. It feels much easier compared to DKC2, but the frustration level ramps up at the last few stages.

I didn't bother with the Lost World on DKC2 because I didn't even know what I was looking for / supposed to be doing. On DKC3 I now know to look at the flags on the world map to see if I've 100%ed a stage.

P

Yeah I never knew about the "!" marks as a kid in DKC1, so it was very hard to know what secrets was still missing in what stages. As a result I never exceeded past 98% I think.
But now I 101%'d DKC1 so I'm aiming to do that (or rather 102% and 105% respectively) with DKC2 and 3 as well (I beat DKC3 before but never 105%'d it). Then we have the Donkey Kong Land series...

I finally did it! I have 100%!

Wait. ???

Haha Rare has a strange idea of how percentage works.

Super Mario World has 96 as the highest clear rate, but at least that game doesn't pretend it to be percent, it's just a level exit counter that counts how many exits have been unlocked.

Last I checked, there was 97 (but it's a glitch): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_0XW2N3cKCI Now it seems it's up to 108! :o And apparently the Japanese rom counts these up.

Anyway, I'm at 103% on DKC3 and I have no desire to play the game again on hard just for that extra 2%. I have other games to play.

By the way, I like how in the credits, K. Rool(enstein) is trying to take a selfie, but the remote doesn't seem to work until he mashes it.

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I never played this game as a kid.
This time I'm looking for payday lender in my area. I'm a newbie, I know nothing but payday loan myths. Now I know how to solve payday lending. It's pretty easy!

Played some Odyssey - yo, see.

Just curious; did you have a PlayStation growing up?
