Something that annoys you

People that tell you how you should price your stuff really annoy me.  One guy on ebay (and also a user on some other gaming forums) told me to fuck myself after I declined his best offer on some goods.  I guess some people just can't understand why I would rather keep a rare game than sell it for pizza money, and this applies mostly to things that are so obscure, who knows if you will ever come across another one or not.

Then on the other end of the spectrum, it annoys me when people price their goods at a price way above market value, to try to trick the uninformed, as that is just as bad too.

Pricing can be tricky.  If it is something that is never seen for sale, why not list high and see where it goes? Your customers (or lack of) will tell you in the prices are right or not.  But if it is something that everyone sells on ebay for $15, don't try to sell it for $50.  Just my two cents on an issue that annoys me.

@fcgamer:

There are and always will be people in this community that want something for nothing. I can understand where they're coming from, to a point. I can't resist interesting stuff for cheap, either. I've bought a couple of things off of you in the $10 range, and sadly passed on some other interesting things mostly because of the higher prices. I'm not insulting your prices; honestly, your stuff is so damned obscure that I don't even know what most of it is worth. Most of us just don't have enough money to get all the games that interest us.

I've prodded a seller on price a few times over the years. It's usually because their prices are far higher than fair value, and I can only make that assumption if I know what the fair value is. But there's really no excuse to hurl insults at a guy just because he wants more for a game than you're willing to pay for it. That's just the point where I walk away.

Trying to solder a p6 connector onto a DS lite pcb and replacing the top lcd screen on the other one.  My hands hurt and it is an exercise in sadism and not the kinky kind either  >:(

I've been looking for an upgrade to my copy of Mega Man II for the Game Boy. I went into the Goodwill here in town, and a dude who'd come in 10 minutes earlier had one in his hand for 99 cents. Naturally, its label was flawless. Lots of competition for vintage games in town. Damn!

Be grateful your Goodwill has Gameboy games! The Goodwill nearest to me only has a small rack (behind glass) of dated sports titles for the 360!

Didn't realise how bad some people have it. At least my hometown has dated sports games for the Mega Drive. :P

My local Goodwill doesn't even have video games, but it does have Hawaiian shirts and used furniture that smells of urine. I think I "win".
So ends another chapter in the glorious legend of the Ninja... Until next time...

C'mon, guys! At least if your thrift stores are completely dry, you'd know better than to waste your time in them. It's a "Nooooooooooo!" moment and a half when someone beats you by *this* much to something you specifically wanted for a steal of a price.
