just for amusement you should buy (or at least try) "Cho Aniki: Bakuretsu Rantou Hen"  ;D ;D

it's a brawler, but the characters and backgrounds are hilarious:

also knowing Japanese or not doesn't matter with this game.

Wow, I was under the impression all this time that "Cho Aniki"
was a homo erotic shooter with flying muscle bound g string
wearing dudes.  Guess I learn something new everyday.

Maybe not everyone is "into" RPGs?  Outside of Chrono Trigger
and the "Breath of Fire" games I never really cared for them on the
SFC/SNES myself.  Which brings back to one of those old dividing
factors of gaming fandom from back in the day.  Camp #1> Was
all action/adventure/shooter all the time
...  Camp #2> was 90%
RPG, 10% anything else
... and Camp #3> was *VS. FIGHTING*
fanbois who once they got the SF 2 and Fatal Fury bug, most of the
other genres just kind of faded away for them.  That last camp usually
ended up with a Neo:Geo.

I do admit though that Earthbound was a good game, having played
it about 8 years after it was released.  Most of what I was interested in
RPG wise never made the jump to US shores in English language and
while I'm aware of the translation/hack ROMS floating around, I wouldn't
play them unless there was someway to somehow put them onto an actual
SFC Cassette and play it on a physical media.  Probably more trouble and
expensive than it's worth really.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention I loved me some Final Fantasy III (VI) bitd too.

Oh no, I am into RPGs, but I want to try and keep them in English, if possible. I have foreign language Faqs for the 2 Dragon Quests, but I need to find one for Elfaria and Shin Megami Tensei.

Any opinions on Final Fight Guy, or Final Fight Tough? I loved that game in the arcade, and even rented it from time to time... never found a copy for sale. I imagine most people haven't tossed their copies of it. I emulate it on MAME often, but emulators, even good ones don't really approach the feel of a controller and console. I don't have the time or resources to build a MAME cab yet... but it's one of those long term goals.

Lady Stalker is one that I have been wondering about. I know that it's the sequel to Landstalker, but never played that one. Feedback?

I'd like to reccomend:

- Pop 'n' Twinbee
- Zelda, link to the past
- obviously the mario collection
- all the other obvious ones like mario kart, rockman and forte etc.

In fact, there's a great book that lists all the games ever released, I recommend that as it is fully illustrated and everything :)

games I posted are the sfc games I own that I play the most.  RPGS are a bit pointless since my japanese level isn't that great

Buy EB and an adaptor to play it on your SFC.

You don't even need an adapter if you care about your cart's cosmetic appearance. just crack it open and put in the PCB by itself.

Lady Stalker is awesome. It has random battles and no jump button, tho, so it really doesn't play like Landstalker that much (the battles are still action-oriented, but they occur randomly, meaning you can't see the enemy until they pop out of nowhere). It's a really fun game and doesn't exactly require Japanese except for a few puzzles. Good thing there's a walkthru on gamefaqs.

I have 2 sfcs and one of the adapters.  The 15$ adapter is worth not busting all my games apart.  Although the thread says "super famicom recommendations" so I didn't know that also includes snes games
