For those who were curious, like manuel...Nintendonut put his repro on eBay with a $550 BIN/BO. Luckily, it was pulled by eBay for being listed as a "repro" before some idiot bought it. Nintendonut has since claimed he meant to list it for $55. :-\

Someone probably would have bought it, too. :P

I knew it!
Even for 55 it was higher than the original price, right?
Either way I call he tried a ripoff. Come on, you can't wrongly put in 550 instead of 55 when you're in your right mind. Ebay lets you check your offer before it goes online. The fees ought to be much higher... or not?
There are always some people who try to make profits on such occasions.
If he just bought one for himself and not 2 (or more?), there could have been another happy guy who could have gotten a copy from the creator himself.

Either way, it's scalping & that kind of ticks me off; especially seeing as how this person has constantly been 'edgy' on most of his trades: he's bought sought after items in the past, offered to sell them, then turned back on his sale.  He also bought something off DreamTR claiming he was a collector who was looking for said item & then sold it. :-\

Word on the street is more NWC repros will be dropping sometime this week. Unfortunately, bunnyboy doesn't like to give more info than that.

manuel

I guess he doesn't give more info, because he doesn't know if/when/until when/how many he will be able to produce.

He orders them from China and you never quite get exact ship dates for that sort of thing.  It's not as though he's assembling these things by hand in his basement.

JC

Well, as I understand it, he orders the parts and then assembles everything, including juicing up the chip with the game. So, the manufacturing of the parts is done in China, but he has to put the pieces together.

Anyhow...he doesn't give more info because of the shipping and the assembly. I guess he kinda figures he'll get them done when he feels like it and drop them online when he feels like it.

I hope 'when he feels like it' is after my paycheck. :P

I haven't seen a pic of the NWC repro, so I'm not sure what the board looks like.  But I can tell you the power paks are definitely not hand assembled.  Anyone with an NWC care to take a pic of the component side of the board?

Hello all,

I am anxiously awaiting the next batch of cartridges.  My fear is that I'll miss out on the sale, because I'll be away from my computer or whatever.  Anyway, I desperately want this cartridge, and would offer anyone an extra $20 if they were to pick up a copy for me.  I participated in the Milwaukee NWC, and my story is posted on this site 3/4 down the page:

Cool, man. When you get a cart, I hope you participate in our WCC competition.

BTW: I'm responding to your e-mail. :)

Doc

Good luck, man. That's great. I personally feel that former participants should get first priority with those cartridges. :)

Jedi Master Baiter

There should be a 1 cart-per person limit on this thing.
