I hear he'll have more in a week, but you never know. This dude builds the carts from scratch, it seems. If I hear anything, I'll post here.

Great, got my check today.  Now I've got money.

JC

From bunnyboy:

"Next batch of ~25 carts will be done sometime mid-late next week. No other estimates than that. Like all my products there will never be a waiting list, reservations, preordering, or accurate release dates...."

I've got the $50. All I need now is a little Energon, and a lot of luck.

NationalGameDepot

I actually bought the first 2 copies when he first put them up on the site.  I was minutes away from going to bed too.  I don't plan to sale either of mine either, having competitions sounds like way to much fun to me.  This is some of the coolest NES news in the last several years.  Over at NintendoAGE, the site was so busy at 2am when they launched  you would have thought it was in the middle of the evening.

Seeing JCs and NGDs stories it would have been better if the guy only sold packs of 2. ;D

MarioMania

On the real NWC cart, What does the Dip-Switches do..

JC

The switches, when set in certain patterns, give different timer lengths. I think the official competition length was 6:21, so with the repro, that's the time available for play.

FamicomFreak

interesting info thanks again JC

Maybe I'm missing something here. Why would you buy two of the same game?

With two carts, two NESs and two TVs you can have your own little competition.
With only one cart you'd have to pplay one after another.

Some other people use one and let the other one untouched for the collection.

Jedi Master Baiter

Great, turn a great "just for play item" to another collectors' ambition! >:(
