The 1st one I beat on the NES (Ninja Gaiden) (and I found it hard) I know the NG games do have magificent stories, so when I start the 2nd properly, I'll print the story off. Don't get me wrong! The gameplay is sublime!!

i know the lady dies, i read it by accident

I have Yokai Doukiki on Core Grafx, but wanted to see how the famicom version plays. I love that game, I know it has its fair share of non supporters, but I've always liked it. Pretty difficult in places too, especially final level, fiendish jumps!

I'm going to have a nice Sunday morning relaxing, then have Sunday lunch with my mum, then I'm going to play on the Family computer.
Thats the plan anyway - fingers crossed it works out like that :)

Wanpaku Kokkun No Gourmet World, usually I can beat this game without dying, today I fell into the pit on the final stage.  :( As easy as the game is for the most part, that one jump is pretty damn frame-specific.

Also played Ducktales on NES, it's been forever since I played this game.

Rockman 4. Never beat it before tonight - glad I did it on a cart the first time :)

Beat Jackie Chan's Action Kung Fu    without dying. I think I'll play Kaiketsu Yanchamaru 3 next.

Saiyuuki World. It was the last one I got around to testing from a package I just got from manuel. It wasn't quite as good as I was hoping for, but maybe it'll grow on me. I really like the sequel, which got released in the US as Whomp 'Em.

Very nice! I played Whomp 'Em just yesterday, that game is one of my favorites as well.

I've been kicking back with a beer every night while playing Rockman. (Thank you again, Manuel. I'll be picking up from you again soon  :pacman:)
I just haven't had much time to really get into it. I'll end up beating 4 Robot Masters before I call it quits. I kind of want to play now, but I ended up going on a 6 mile jog with my boss and a few coworkers after work today, so I'm tired as shit.
On a different note, due to a certain member's influence, I'm really looking forward to playing Pizza Pop soon.
I'll probably die surrounded by plastic crap.

Ahh, the original Rockman is a wonderful game. What order have you been starting with? The one I'd recommend is: Guts, Cut, Elec, Ice, Fire, Bomb. But then again, Guts, Cut and Bomb are all very easy, and make good starter stages. Just make sure you play Guts before Elec, because I'm pretty sure the game cannot be completed if you fail to get the Magnet Beam in Elec's stage, which requires use of Guts' weapon.

As for Pizza Pop, did you already get/order a copy of it? How very wise of you to trust the influence of a certain member. That certain member has great taste in games, and an electrifying sense of fashion.

The last Famicom game I played was... Pizza Pop. I'll play Akumajo Special: Boku Dracula Kun next.

Edit: Just got done beating Boku Dracula Kun, and I did so without dying. Good thing I had max health, because that stupid Drillbot on the final stage took 3 entire hearts from me. That thing is impossible to beat without getting hit, unless you get ridiculously lucky.

I usually start with Bombman because I think Gutsman is harder than Bombman and Cutman. You can replay old stages in Rockman so you can get the Magnet Beam later if you fail to get it the first time but it's never fun to backtrack.

Haven't played anymore Famicom since I finished Zelda II. I recently finished Rockman World and then I started on Rockman World 2.

Ah, that's exactly what I was wondering. I had heard a few people claim otherwise... but I hadn't been in such a situation myself, to confirm.

Edit: I decided to play the original Rockman as well. This time my challenge was to use the special weapons as often as possible throughout the stages, as usually I just stick to the Buster in that game. I never knew Fireman's weapon was so useful against certain enemies. This time I went in an odd order: Fire, Bomb, Cut, Guts, Elec, Ice. I actually attempted Ice Man's stage first, and I did get to him, but I just couldn't beat him without Electricity. I suck.

Score upon completion: 1307400

I've been going Cut, Bomb, Guts, Elec, Ice, then Fire. I realize I'm going in a strange order from the beginning, but it's been working for me. Haha that certain member happens to like a lot of the same games as I, so I figured I was doing the right thing by putting forth trust. Electrifying, huh? Speaking of, it was a casual day at work today, so I wore a pair of red plaid zipper pants, a gray dress shirt with the sleeves cut off over a t-shirt, and a pair of black suede Puma high tops. I had decided to leave my hair down  though (which is a Mohawk). Fun times. I'm actually having trouble finding a copy of Pizza Pop, but I can easily throw the ROM on my Everdrive to give it a spin. I'll probably do that tomorrow after I pick up some sake.

I have a spare copy of Pizza Pop (cart) if anybody's interested.  ;)

nerdynebraskan

Damn, manuel, did you score two spare Pizza Pops recently? Because you've promised one to meeeeeeeeeeeee!

Also, I got a few new FC carts in the mail the other day. I started testing them yesterday, and the last one I played was Don Doko Don. I gotta get home from work and test the rest of the stack!
