Thanks, UglyJoe! Not too shabby for 12 bucks. I'm particularly excited about the Goonies, I had no idea that was in there.

fredJ

That's a great price, even if you didn't say how shipping cost (15$ ?).
Haven't seen Goonies on FDS before.

I once considered Goonies "junk", I had 7 carts but now they are all sold and I haven't found any more...  (in the lots I buy, mind you)

Shipping was about 10 bucks I think, SAL. Yeah, I got lucky, but the disks are untested, so I'll keep my fingers crossed.

manuel

I'm sure most will work fine. Those things are sturdy!

You should be particularly excited for Kiki Kaikai, that one is awesome and fairly rare...

fredJ

Since I've had Kiki Kaikai twice (with manual and even guidebook), I would have been more excited over Halley Wars that I've never had.  ;)

Good call, out of all those untested disks only two were bad: One of the SMB2's and the Goonies. They weren't physically damaged, so I was able to rewrite the games back onto the disks.

lobdale

For as bad a reputation as FDS games seem to have, I have only come across maybe one in a hundred disks that wouldn't play due to actual surface damage (and that was only on the B side).  More often than not if you have a problem it is conclusively your drive that's bad, not the disk.  They really are pretty resilient.  :diskkun:

fredJ

Agreed.

However, sometimes it has the wrong game on it.
Often a worse game too, for some reason.

If it has the wrong game on it I can fix that. ;D

Shadow Brain

It apparently came with a VHS tape, which is what you see in the picture you attached.
