I enjoy Rolling Thunder as well, but I haven't played it in probably a couple of years. I might have to dust it off sometime soon here, though I'm now also looking for an FC copy for the superior sound.

And I will have to strongly consider getting a repro done of that Mega Man 3/Sonic hack.

I had a buddy over, so I busted out my copy of Holy Diver to show him. We couldn't even finish the second stage, but this is definitely a cool game. I hadn't played it in a couple of years, so I'll definitely have to pick it up sooner than that next time.

Completions of the day:

Ninja Ryukenden III (Only died once, and it was because of a dumb mistake on my part. I had no clue that you'd die from sinking ater the 6th boss, but that's my fault)
Batman Dynamite
Parasol Henbee
Doki! Doki! Yuuenchi (I've finally gotten good enough to beat this game without continuing, but it'll take more practice until I can no-death it)
Spartan X-2
Rockman 3
Wai Wai World 2

Also played a little bit of Parodius Da, but I just couldn't get into it. Which is a damn shame because I really like the music in it.

There can never be too much playing of Famicom! Although I actually haven't played any games today... it's been a rough one.

Last game I played was Layla. I can't believe I've never heard of this one before! Super fun, although the jumping physics feel a bit "floaty". Love the title screen theme as well.
I'll probably die surrounded by plastic crap.

I still have yet to play that game, although I did see the GameCenter CX episode on it.

Dynamite Batman and Splatterhouse: Wanpaku Graffiti were the last two games I've played.

It's really fun. Reminds me of Rockman in a way, although it's nowhere near as good. Dynamite Batman and Splatterhouse  are some of my favorite games on the system, though I no longer am in possession of either...
Last game I played was Mother, using a walkthrough. Made it to the cemetery. That title theme <3

Those are two of my favorites as well, sorry to hear you no longer have them. If I ever get spare copies of either then they'll be yours, but.... I already have them both CIB so I doubt I'll get them again. If I may ask, what was your preferred gun of choice on Dynamite Batman?

I shall play Kamen No Ninja Hanamaru next.

Ah, that's nice of you, but it's ok. I'll replace them eventually. The sad part was, I didn't get to play a lot of Dynamite Batman. I played it twice, before a friend of mine spilled his damn drink onto it. I had it, as well as Splatterhouse on the floor next to my Famicom, and as he sat down, he accidentally tipped his glass over, submerging the carts in an unforgiving pool of hops and barley. I let them dry for several hours, but neither of them would work. I remember liking a homing gun of some sort. Gonna play some Salamander in a while.

Ninja Crusaders Ryuga, and Ninja Cop Saizou. Both great games, but I wish you could skip/speed-up the cutscenes/text in Ninja Cop Saizou... maybe you can, and I just didn't notice it... hmmm...

I played Black Manta as a kid and thought it was the next generation of gaming.  I remember fighting Tiny and being blown away.

Yeah I have the Black Manta version of it too, I also played it when I was young. I definitely like the sprite for Tiny better in Black Manta, not sure which version of the game I like better overall. Is it just me, or was the final stage in Saizou more difficult than that in Black Manta? Maybe I'm just rusty...
