I decided to take a picture of my current CIB Famicom collection today.

There's still about... 25 or so games that I want to get CIB. Then I'll be done. But they're pretty expensive titles so it will take me forever.

Nice collection :)  I'm interested to see your loose games as well.  Lately, I've been buying loose just to build up a catalogue of cartridges as my CIBs tend to get bubble wrapped and stored away, my loose cartridges actually get enjoyed and played quite regularly.  Right now I'm trying to complete each one.

Sounds like a nice goal, I'd be interested in seeing some pictures of your collection if you ever choose to post them. Perhaps someday I'll take new pictures of my cartridges, but it'll take quite a while.

My small collection of games. I can take closer up pictures if you guys want.  A bunch of stuff is hidden behind other games.

I have a few  other systems not shown here such as my PS3.

That looks nice, my friend.  I wish I could just store my games on shelves, like most of you guys do.  I have an extra room and would gladly turn it into a game room.  But the problem for me is windows and sunlight.  I have bought some many games over the years, and they are sunfaded to a crisp, due to the unforgiving sun.  So I have to store my games in cabinets, or they might suffer a similar fate.  Same with typhoons.  Last year I lost a few games due to a typhoon (my apartment has some leaks here and there), and the cupboards protect my games better than shelves would, from the weather.  Still, I envy having your games on shelves like that.  :)

Ultimately, I would like my games behind uv-protected glass, but that just isn't going to happen, realistically...at least until I get settled down for keeps, and get married.

That collection looks really nice as well.  I have personally been going for something a bit unorthodox - a complete set of "unlicensed" Famicom games, sans the stuff by Waixing, Nanjing, and all of those crappy fighters that I hate playing.  With about 50 - 60 games to get yet, until I have them all (and these games are ones that are just so hard to find, it is hard to say how long it would take for me to finish finding them), I have been thinking of my collection goals for next year.  I have been thinking:

1)  Get more fighters, Waixing games, and Nanjing games.  I just don't have as much interest in these titles, but would like to have fullsets sometime.

2)  Get CIB official copies of some select Famicom games.  I have been building a list of which games I want to get, and I think there will probably be 100 - 150 of them.  Unfortunately, a lot of these are the expensive ones that everyone wants.  Fortunately for me, I honestly don't know what direction I would take after "completing" my sets, well I guess reaching my goals would be a better way to put it.

Either way, I love seeing collection pics posted!

Have you posted pictures of your unlicensed collection, FCGamer? I can't recall seeing one from you in this thread, and I'd be interested in seeing that. Sounds like a nice goal you've set for yourself. I mainly only get CIB copies of the games I really like, unless of course I see a game that I'm somewhat interested in for really cheap, and it happens to be CIB. As it is, I looked at my list of CIB games I still want to get, and there are 26 remaining. After that I guess my collection will be "complete" by my standards.

I found some really old pictures of my (once) collection and thought I'd share:

It got much larger than this at one point, but has since all been sold off besides a few items.

You may also find other random items here:

Hi my friend, I never really showed my whole collection off.  I am just not that sort of person, who likes to show off.  There is a few pics on Nintendo Age, but they do not show much; maybe I will take some nicer pics when I get the chance ;)

fcgamer,

You just have so much weird, unique stuff that you almost owe it to yourself and the rest of us interested in 8-bit history to better document your finds. You may have one of the most difficult collections to replicate of anyone I've ever seen or heard about.

I would love to see fcgamer's collection.
It would inspire me to look for such interesting things.

Yeah, and how about a picture of your stuff, Famiac? I remember you sent me a shot of your collection on Skype long ago and it was beyond impressive.
